Birthing mothers or those who witness birth can be uplifted by birth’s mystery and power, but at the same time be haunted by profound feelings of confusion, powerlessness or shame about a particular moment. In its many forms, birth trauma is not often apparent. Even when it is, it is often minimized or ignored. Are you having trouble facing memories of a past birth experience? Is this trauma affecting your life, internally or externally? Would you like to take some time to process so you can begin to move through the experience and incorporate it into your self? We will work through our births together through storytelling, art, journaling and ritual in a safe circle of other women.

Note that if this date does not work for all participants, I am open to working on changing it to a date that does, or you may choose to contact me to take a private trauma workshop in your home.

I realize this is generally in the middle of dinner for most people, and I will have a light snack available (usually fruit of some kind), however please feel free to bring food to class if you need to.

DIRECTIONS

Note that this is a brand-new home, and it will not show up on any of the online maps.  The house is in the new subdivision next to Badger Mountain Park (the park with the baseball fields, dog park, and brand new splash pad) on Keene Road in South Richland.  If you are coming up Keene Road moving southwest (toward Albertson’s on the area where Keene, Gage and Leslie all merge), pass Badger Mountain Park, take your first left on Elementary, your first right on Sagewood St, in a couple of blocks it will change to Sagewood Loop, and go into the new loop where you will drive around the loop in either direction until you see my home, which is the only house which is two-toned brown with red on the top.  IF you get lost or have any questions, please call me at 628-8790.
